Rudolph replaced Will Levis this past Sunday at Indianapolis, and he completed 23-of-34 passes for 252 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
QB Mason Rudolph to Start Again for Titans on Sunday vs Jaguars
The Tennessee Titans have confirmed that Mason Rudolph will continue as their starting quarterback for the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Rudolph, who took over the starting role from Will Levis, is set to make his second consecutive start. In his previous outing against the Indianapolis Colts, Rudolph completed 21 of 34 passes for 252 yards, throwing two touchdowns alongside three interceptions in a 38-30 loss.
Despite the turnovers, head coach Brian Callahan expressed confidence in Rudolph’s ability to lead the offense. “We’ve got confidence in Mason,” Callahan stated during a press conference. “He’s prepared, he knows the system, and we believe he gives us the best chance to win this week.”
The Titans, currently holding a 3-12 record, are looking to rebound against the Jaguars, who share the same record. This divisional matchup presents an opportunity for the Titans to assess Rudolph’s potential as a long-term solution at quarterback.
Rudolph, a veteran quarterback signed by the Titans in the 2024 offseason, brings experience to the position. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 pounds, he entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018. Prior to joining the Titans, Rudolph appeared in 21 regular-season games with 13 starts, amassing 3,085 yards and 19 touchdowns.
The upcoming game against the Jaguars is scheduled for Sunday at EverBank Stadium, with kickoff set for 12:00 PM CT. Fans will be watching closely to see if Rudolph can capitalize on this opportunity and lead the Titans to a much-needed victory.
