Jim Kelly to serve as Bills Legend of the Game | Monday Night Football
The Kelly family was in the stands for the season opener when the Bills defeated the Los Angeles Rams in L.A. The former QB liked what he saw in the team’s run game and the pressure the defense brought, and he’s hoping for a similar result on Monday night.
“To be there and to be able to cheer them on and watch how they dominated the Super Bowl champions, it made me feel good that we’re starting out on the right note,” Kelly said.
As someone who’s been in their shoes before, Kelly knows it’s just another game for the players. Even though the team is coming off Thursday night’s victory against the defending Super Bowl Champions with momentum, Kelly’s advice to the them is to stay focused on the task at hand.
“You have to look at this one and don’t get too overhyped,” Kelly said. “Do what you have to do, do your job, and if we do our job, we’re going to come out on top.”
