Coaches Ballot high 25 – Michigan falls as Tennessee, Utah transfer into high 10 in faculty soccer rankings

Notre Dame took a serious tumble and Michigan fell out of the best 10 inside the Week 2 Coaches Poll. The  No. 19 Combating Irish, which ranked No. 7 after Week 1, suffered a few of the very important upsets of the season in a 16-14 residence loss in direction of Northern Illinois. 

The now-No. 16 Wolverines suffered their worst residence loss since 2020 with a 31-12 drubbing by the arms of Texas, which saved its grip on the No. 3 spot on this week’s rankings whatever the spectacular win. The Longhorns did acquire one vote for first place alongside the likes of No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Ohio State. 

No. 9 Tennessee and No. 10 Utah moved into the best 10 to fill the spots vacated by Michigan and Notre Dame after hovering merely outside over the past couple of weeks. 

Inside the bottom half of the poll, Iowa and NC State every dropped out after faltering in primary nonconference clashes. The Wolfpack misplaced 52-10 to the Volunteers in Charlotte, which truly helped carry Tennessee to its new top-10 standing. Within the meantime, Iowa State climbed to No. 23 inside the rankings after its second Cy-Hawk victory inside the remaining three years.
