Lions add American large receiver returner Isaiah Wood

VANCOUVER — The BC Lions introduced on Tuesday the signing of American large receiver/returner Isaiah Wood.

Wood (five-foot-nine, 170 kilos) the San Diego native strikes north after attending rookie mini-camp with the Atlanta Falcons and a coaching camp stint with the Los Angeles Chargers earlier this yr.

After showing in 4 video games over three seasons at Kent State from 2019-21, Wood transferred to Southern Utah for his ultimate two school seasons and recorded 100 receptions for 1,726 yards and 20 touchdowns whereas including 14 kick returns for 386 yards.

In his 2023 season, Isaiah was second in FCS with 14 landing receptions and earned All-United Athletic Convention honours.
