111th Gray Cup Playoff Situations: Ottawa eyes post-season berth

TORONTO — The Ottawa REDBLACKS may turn into the second staff within the CFL to punch their ticket to the post-season this weekend.

If Ottawa defeats the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday afternoon at Tim Hortons Area, the REDBLACKS will probably be within the playoffs for the primary time since 2018.

The next playoff situation is in play this week:

EAST DIVISION

  • OTT WIN = OTT clinches post-season berth
    • A victory would get rid of the opportunity of a possible West-to-East crossover impacting the REDBLACKS.

WEST DIVISION

  • No staff can clinch a playoff spot this week

CROSSOVER RULE

If the fourth-place staff in Division A – A4 – has extra factors than the third-place staff in Division B – B3 (they can’t be tied), A4 will cross over and take the place of B3 when it comes to playoff seeding. A4 will then compete in opposition to B2 within the Division B Semi-Closing.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
