Seahawks lose star running back and rookie backup to injury

The Seattle Seahawks could start the season a long way against eight balls of running back.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke to reporters Sunday and shared. his thoughts. bad news on his top two backyard picks.

Carroll says starter Kenneth Walker III is sidelined with a groin injury and could be sidelined “for a while”, according to Taylor Bisciotti Network of the NFL.

Walker’s replacement, rookie Zach Charbonnet, also suffered a shoulder injury and was sidelined indefinitely. None of the players trained at training camp this weekend. Seattle kicks off pre-season on August 10 and the regular season exactly one month after that on September 10.

Walker was a Seahawks rookie last season, rising from the ball. dark to dash for 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns. But Seattle’s backyard has generally struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons, which is especially true of what happened to Walker’s predecessor.

With Walker and Charbonnet sick, the Seahawks will have to rely on DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh – the only other back runners on their roster – for now. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the franchise launch and go after another RB veteran at some point (maybe even that notable player, who is yet to be signed).
